Everything you can do from your Membership Detail page including pausing, resuming, cancelling, changing tiers, switching clubs, managing addresses, and retrying failed payments.
Managing Your Membership
Welcome to your club, membership or program! This guide walks you through everything you can do from your Membership Detail page - from viewing your club info to pausing, resuming, switching clubs, and more.
Getting to Your Membership Detail Page
- Click My Clubs (or My Memberships or My Programs) in the top tabs.
- You'll see your active memberships displayed as cards with the club's cover photo, club name, tier name, status badge (top-right corner), price, and "Member since" date. Prices show how often they're charged, for example "$12 per week", "$22 every 2 weeks" or "$45 per month".
- Click on any membership card to open its Membership Detail page.
What You'll See on the Membership Detail Page
At the top of the page is a sticky header (stays visible as you scroll on desktop) that shows:
- A back arrow linking to My Clubs
- The club name (e.g., "Gold Reserve Club")
- The club type label ("Subscription Club" or "Release Club")
- Your membership status badge in the top-right corner (e.g., Active, Paused, Cancelled)
Below the header, you'll see a hero card with the club's cover image. Overlaid on the bottom of the image are:
- The club listing name
- Your tier name (if applicable)
- Hero action buttons on the right side of the image (desktop) or below the image (mobile):
- View Club - opens the club's public listing page
- Switch Club - opens the club switch flow (see below)
- Change Tier - opens the tier change panel (see below)
Below the hero card, you'll find your membership details: Member since date, Price, Fulfillment method (Shipping or Pickup), Next billing date, and your shipping address or pickup location.
Complimentary and lifetime memberships: if the business gave you your membership for free (a comp), you'll see a "Comp until [date]" or "Lifetime" badge, and Membership reads "Complimentary until [date]" or "Lifetime member" instead of a price. You're never billed, so there is no next billing date or renewal, and you don't need a card. Your plan and program are changed by the business, so the buttons to change your tier or switch programs don't appear. A comp with an end date ends on that day.
Alert Banners
Depending on your membership status, you may see one of these alert banners at the top of the page:
-
Payment Failed (red banner) - "Your last payment didn't go through." with a Pay Now button. Where Pay Now sends you depends on what kind of charge failed:
- Subscription cycle with customer-choice selections → the Customer Choice Retry page where you can update your card and (optionally) adjust your picks before retrying
- Release charge → the Release Payment Retry page where you see the order breakdown and can retry with a saved card
- Other charges → the Wallet page, where Retry payment opens a panel
In all three cases, you can update your card on file inline and retry without contacting the business.
Adding a new card also settles what you owe: a card you add to pay with becomes the one your membership bills, and any unpaid renewal is charged right away, which lifts a pause caused by the failed payment. If the business sent you a link to add your card and the new card can't cover the balance, the page shows Amount Still Due with the amount; check the card details or contact the business.
-
Add a card before [date] (amber banner) - Appears when the business activated your membership without a card. "Your membership is paid through [date]. Add a card to keep it going after that. You won't be charged before then." Click Add a card to add it right there. You'll also get email reminders before that date (usually 14 days and 3 days before; the business can choose other days). If the date passes without a card, your membership is put on hold and you get one email with a link to add your card; adding it charges what's due and your membership continues right away. Each email says how long its link works; if it has expired, open it anyway and click Send me a new link to get a new one at the email address the business has on file.
-
Membership Suspended / Membership Cancelled (amber banner) - Appears when your membership was suspended due to payment failure or cancelled. Includes a Restart Membership button.
-
Membership Pausing on [date] (amber banner) - Shows when a pause is scheduled. Your rewards remain active until the billing period ends. Includes a Cancel Pause button.
-
Membership Paused (blue banner) - "Your membership is currently paused. Billing and fulfillment are on hold." Includes a Resume Membership button.
-
Pending tier change (amber inline banner) - "Switching to [tier name] on [date]" with a Cancel link.
-
Pending club switch (amber inline banner) - "Switching to [club name] on [date]" with a Cancel link.
-
Membership ending on [date] (blue inline banner) - Shows when cancellation is scheduled for end of period.
Answering Signup Questions
Some programs ask a few questions when you join, such as your size or a preference. If there are questions you haven't answered (for example the program added one after you joined), your membership page shows "[program] has a few questions for you". Click Answer now, fill them in and click Save answers.
- If any are required, it reads "[program] needs a few answers from you" and stays until you answer.
- If they're all optional, you can click Not now. The prompt comes back if the program adds another question.
Your membership is never paused or blocked for an unanswered question.
Pausing Your Membership (Subscription Clubs Only)
If your subscription membership is active, you can pause it:
- Scroll down to the actions area on the Membership Detail page.
- Click the Pause button (with a pause icon).
- A confirmation titled "Pause Membership" opens with the message: "Are you sure you want to pause your membership to [club name]?"
- The confirmation lists what happens:
- "Billing will be paused - No further charges will be made after your current billing period"
- "Rewards remain active - Your rewards stay active through [end of billing period date]"
- A note: "You can cancel the pause at any time before it takes effect."
- Choose one:
- Keep Active - closes the confirmation, no changes made.
- Yes, Pause Membership - schedules the pause. You'll see a success message like "Membership will pause on [date]".
After pausing is scheduled, the amber "Membership Pausing" banner appears with a Cancel Pause button if you change your mind.
Resuming Your Membership
If Your Membership Is Paused
When your membership is in a Paused state, a blue banner appears at the top with a Resume Membership button:
- Click Resume Membership.
- Your membership reactivates immediately. A success message "Membership resumed successfully!" appears.
If a Pause Is Pending (Not Yet Effective)
If a pause is scheduled but hasn't taken effect yet, the amber banner shows a Cancel Pause button:
- Click Cancel Pause.
- The pending pause is cancelled and your membership continues uninterrupted. A success message "Pending pause cancelled" appears.
Cancelling Your Membership
- Scroll down to the actions area on the Membership Detail page.
- Click the Cancel button (with an X icon).
- The Cancel membership panel opens: "Are you sure you want to cancel this membership? You'll lose access to:"
- For Subscription Clubs: your regular shipments or pickups
- For Release Clubs: "Future releases - You'll no longer receive releases from this club"
- For Membership-Only Clubs: "Membership benefits - You will lose access to all membership rewards and benefits"
- "Member benefits - Special pricing, exclusive access, and member-only rewards"
- A note: "You can rejoin at any time."
- Optionally, Reason for cancelling (optional): "Help us improve - tell us why you're cancelling".
- Choose one:
- Keep Membership - closes the panel, no changes made.
- Yes, Cancel Membership - cancels your membership. A success message "Membership cancelled successfully" appears.
You'll also get a Membership Cancelled confirmation email. You get one whenever your membership is cancelled, whether you cancel it yourself, the business cancels it, or a scheduled cancellation takes effect.
Restarting a Cancelled or Suspended Membership
If your membership is cancelled or was suspended due to payment failure, an amber banner appears with a Restart Membership button:
- Click Restart Membership.
- The Restart membership panel opens: "Restart your membership to [club name]. A new billing cycle will begin immediately."
- If multiple tiers are available, you can choose:
- Your current tier (pre-selected)
- Or pick a different tier, each showing the tier name, bottle count, and price
- A blue info box reminds you: "Your payment method on file will be charged for the first billing cycle."
- Choose one:
- Cancel - closes the panel.
- Restart Membership - restarts your membership immediately. A success message "Membership restarted successfully!" appears.
Changing Your Tier
If the club offers multiple tiers, a Change Tier button appears in the hero area:
- Click Change Tier.
- The Change tier panel opens (full width on phones):
- For Subscription Clubs: "Select a new tier for your membership. The price change will apply to your next billing cycle."
- For Release Clubs: "Select a new tier for your membership. This change will take effect immediately."
- Your current tier is shown at the top with "(current)" label.
- Available tiers are listed below, each showing tier name, bottle count, and price.
- Select your new tier.
- For Subscription Clubs with shipping, a shipping speed selector may appear if the new tier has different options.
- Release Clubs only - if your current release order can be updated to the new tier, a blue banner shows you the new release name, template, bottle count, and estimated subtotal so you can confirm before clicking. If your current selection has been customized, or the release has already charged, the banner explains that the change will apply to future releases only.
- Click Confirm Change to proceed, or Cancel to go back.
- For Subscription Clubs, you'll see: "Tier change scheduled for [next billing date]". For Release Clubs, the change applies immediately, and a toast tells you whether your current order was updated or kept as-is.
A pending tier change appears as an amber banner: "Tier change scheduled - Switching to [tier name] on [date]" with a Cancel link to undo it. Cancelling keeps you on your current tier at the price and billing schedule you have today.
Switching to a Different Club
If you want to join a different club offered by the same business:
- Click Switch Club in the hero area.
- The Switch Club panel opens (full width on phones) and walks through these steps:
- Step 1 - Choose a Club: "Choose a different program within this business." Browse available clubs. Each shows the club name, description, and type. Select one and click Next.
- Step 2 - Choose a Tier: Pick a tier for your new club. Each tier shows the name, bottle count, and pricing. Click Next.
- Step 3 - Fulfillment: Choose your delivery method (Shipping or Pickup), select an address or pickup location, and pick a shipping speed if applicable. Click Next. If the new club has nothing to pick up or ship and is offered at more than one location, this step asks for your Location instead ("Choose the location your membership belongs to."). It starts on your current location when the new club is offered there; otherwise pick one of its locations.
- Review Impact: "Review what will happen when you switch programs.", for example what happens to your current order.
- Initial Purchase (if required): Select any initial items required by the new club.
- Confirm: "Review your selection and confirm the switch." For Subscription Clubs, choose the timing:
- Switch at end of current period - the switch happens at your next billing date
- Switch now - the switch takes effect right away
- Click Confirm Switch to finalize.
A pending club switch shows as an amber banner: "Club switch scheduled - Switching to [new club name] on [date]" with a Cancel link.
You can switch into any club the business has open for signups. Some clubs aren't open to everyone (for example a friends-and-family club); to be added to one of those, contact the business.
Changing Your Fulfillment Method (Shipping ↔ Pickup)
You can switch when the club offers the other method. If the club has stopped offering the method you're on (for example it no longer ships), you can still switch to the one it kept, and the change opens on it.
- On the Membership Detail page, find the "Fulfillment" section.
- Click the change link or the swap icon button.
- The Change delivery panel opens ("Switch how you receive your orders"), letting you switch between Shipping and Pickup:
- Switching to Shipping: Select a shipping address from your saved addresses, or add a new one.
- Switching to Pickup: Select a pickup location from the available list.
- Click Confirm Change.
- A success message appears: "Switched to local pickup" or "Switched to shipping".
Changing Your Shipping Address
If your membership uses shipping:
- Find the "Shipping Address" section on the Membership Detail page.
- Click the pencil (edit) icon or Change link.
- The Change shipping address panel opens, showing your saved addresses.
- Select a different address, or click Add New Address to enter a new one.
- Click Save to update.
Managing the addresses you've saved
Your saved addresses live under Account, then Addresses. Each address shows a small badge with the number of orders, memberships, or releases linked to it.
- Editing any saved address always works - the change automatically flows through to every linked record so your upcoming shipments and membership use the latest info.
- Deleting an address is blocked while any record (past or current) is linked to it. If you try, you'll see a message explaining how many records still reference the address, with a link to expand them. You can either edit the address in place to update the data or contact the business to switch the linked records to a different address before deleting.
This rule is there to keep your shipping history accurate - once an order is placed and shipped to an address, that address needs to stay on file for invoicing, returns, and compliance.
Changing Your Pickup Location
If your membership uses pickup and the business has multiple locations:
- Find the "Pickup Location" section on the Membership Detail page.
- Click the Change link.
- The Change delivery panel shows available pickup locations with their addresses.
- Select your preferred location.
- Click Save to confirm.
Changing Your Shipping Speed
If shipping speed options are available:
- Find the shipping speed displayed on the Membership Detail page.
- Click the Change link or pencil icon.
- A panel shows available speeds (e.g., Ground, Priority, Overnight) with their cost info.
- Select your preferred speed. Before you save, the panel shows any extra charge or refund the change makes.
- Click Save to confirm.
Viewing Your Fulfillment History
Below the membership details, you'll find a Fulfillment History section showing past and current orders for this membership:
- Each entry shows the cycle or release name, status (e.g., Confirmed, Ready for Pickup, Fulfilled), items, and date.
- Click on any entry to view the full details or make your selection (for Customer Choice clubs).
Skipping a Release (Release Clubs Only)
If you're a member of a Release Club, you may be able to skip releases yourself:
- On the Membership Detail page, look for the Skip next release button (it uses the business's word for a release).
- Click it. A panel opens: "You'll be excluded from the next release. You can change your mind any time before it closes." Optionally pick a Reason for skipping, then click Skip next release (or Never mind). A success message "You'll skip the next release" appears.
- To undo a skip, click Cancel Skip. A success message "Skip cancelled - you'll be included in the next release" appears.
Self-skip availability: Some businesses don't allow members to skip releases on their own. If the Skip next release button isn't visible on your membership, the business has turned off self-skip for this club. You can still ask the business directly to skip a release on your behalf - contact them through the email or phone listed on the club page.
Member Rewards Card
If your membership includes rewards (discounts, complimentary tastings, etc.), a Rewards card appears on the Membership Detail page showing your current available rewards, redemption progress, and usage limits. See the Rewards & Benefits doc for full details.
Alternate Contacts
Some clubs let you add alternate contacts (e.g., a spouse or partner) who can pick up orders or be recognized at the tasting room:
- Look for the Alternate Contacts section on the Membership Detail page.
- Click Add Contact (plus icon) to open the sidebar form.
- Enter the contact's name, phone, email, birthday, and relationship.
- Click Save to add them.
- To edit or remove, click on an existing contact.
QR Code Download
On the Membership Detail page, you may see a Download QR button. Clicking it saves a QR code image that you can show at the tasting room for quick check-in and rewards redemption.
