Delivery & Fulfillment Information

This guide explains how your membership orders get to you, shipped to your door or picked up at the business, and how to manage your delivery preferences. Each business uses its own word for what you belong to (club, membership or program) and for what you receive (for example bottles, bags, boxes or shares); this guide says membership and items.

Fulfillment Methods

A membership can offer shipping, local pickup, or both. Some memberships have nothing to ship or pick up at all (access-only memberships), so none of this applies to them.

Shipping

Your order is shipped to your home or office.

  • The shipping address on your membership is used for every shipment unless you change it.
  • Where the business can ship depends on the membership and your state. Some businesses can't ship to every state.
  • Age-restricted items. If the business sells age-restricted goods (such as alcohol, cigars or cannabis), an adult of legal age must sign for the delivery. Other businesses' shipments don't need a signature for this.

Local Pickup

You collect your order at one of the business's locations.

  • You'll get an email when your order is ready for pickup.
  • The order page reminds you to bring a valid ID. If the business sells age-restricted items, you need to be of legal age to collect.
  • Some locations have set pickup hours; check with the business.

Choosing Your Fulfillment Method

At Sign-Up

When you join a membership that offers both, the checkout's Delivery step asks you to "Choose how you'd like to receive your order." with Pickup and Shipping. See How to Join.

Changing After You've Joined

You can switch between shipping and pickup at any time when the membership offers the other method. If it has stopped offering the method you're on, you can still switch to the one it kept:

  1. Go to My {offering} in the top tabs (for example My Clubs) and click your membership.
  2. On the membership page, find the fulfillment section.
  3. Click the swap icon or change link.
  4. The Change delivery panel opens ("Switch how you receive your orders"):
    • Switching to Shipping: pick one of your saved addresses, or add a new one.
    • Switching to Pickup: pick a pickup location from the list.
  5. Click Confirm Change.
  6. The change applies to future orders. Orders already confirmed aren't affected.

Shipping Speeds

A membership may offer several shipping speeds. You'll see them at checkout and can change them on the membership page. Common options:

Speed Typical delivery time Cost
Ground 5-10 business days Varies (may be free, flat rate, or actual cost)
Priority / 2-Day 2-3 business days Usually a flat rate
Overnight / Express 1 business day Premium pricing

How shipping is charged depends on the membership:

  • Free - the business covers shipping
  • Flat rate - a fixed price per shipment
  • We cover up to an amount - the business pays up to that amount; you pay any difference
  • Actual cost at fulfillment - you pay the carrier's rate, worked out when the label is created

Prices show in the business's currency.

Changing Your Shipping Speed

  1. Open your membership page.
  2. Find the shipping speed.
  3. Click Change or the pencil icon.
  4. Pick a speed (each shows its cost) and click Save.

Changing Your Shipping Address

  1. Open your membership page.
  2. Find the Shipping Address section.
  3. Click the pencil icon or Change.
  4. Pick another saved address, or click Add New Address.
  5. Click Save.

You can also manage your saved addresses under Account, then Addresses.

Shipping Eligibility

Not every membership can ship to every state. If you pick an address in a state it doesn't ship to, you'll see a message such as:

"We're sorry, but this program doesn't currently ship to [State]. Please select a different address or choose local pickup."

The message uses the business's word for the membership.

Tracking Your Shipment

Once your order ships:

  1. Go to Orders in the top tabs (the bottom bar on a phone).
  2. Click the order.
  3. Under shipping details you'll see your address and the carrier and tracking number. When the carrier gives a tracking link, the tracking number opens it in a new tab.

Pickup Details

Choosing a Pickup Location

If the business has more than one pickup location:

  1. Open your membership page.
  2. Find the pickup location section.
  3. Click Change.
  4. Each location shows its name and address. Pick one and click Save.

When Your Order Is Ready

When your order is Ready for Pickup:

  1. You get an email.
  2. The order page shows Ready for Pickup with "Your order is ready! Visit the store to pick it up."
  3. It shows the pickup location, its address and any pickup instructions from the business.

Using Check-in QR for Pickup

  1. Click the QR code icon in the top bar.
  2. Show the code to the staff when you arrive.
  3. They pull up your order and hand it over.

Converting an Order Between Pickup and Shipping

If an order can still change, you can convert just that order:

  1. Go to Orders and click the order.
  2. Click Convert to Shipping or Convert to Pickup.
  3. In the Change delivery panel, enter a shipping address or pick a pickup location.
  4. Confirm.

This changes only that order, not your membership's preference.

Delivery FAQs

Q: Can I change my delivery method mid-cycle? A: You can change your membership's method at any time; it applies to future orders. For an order already in progress, use Convert to Shipping or Convert to Pickup on the order (when it's still allowed).

Q: My membership stopped offering shipping (or pickup). What happens to me? A: Nothing changes on its own: your membership and any open order stay as they are. You can switch to the method the membership still offers from your membership page or from the order. The business can also switch you.

Q: What happens if I'm not home for a delivery? A: Shipments from a business selling age-restricted goods (such as alcohol, cigars or cannabis) need an adult signature. If no one is there, the carrier usually leaves a notice and tries again or holds the package nearby. Other shipments follow the carrier's usual delivery rules.

Q: Is shipping included in my membership price? A: It depends on the membership. Some include free shipping; others charge a flat rate or the carrier's cost. Checkout and your membership page show how shipping is charged.

Q: What happens if I never pick up my release order? A: The business may ship it to you instead. You'll get an email, "Your order is on its way to you", with the address it's going to (your membership's shipping address, or your default or only saved address) and any shipping charged to your card on file. If your card couldn't be charged for shipping, the order still ships and the shipping shows as a past-due balance; update your card in Wallet so the business can collect it. Tracking follows by email once the package ships. Future orders stay on pickup unless the business switched those too.

Q: Can I ship one order to a different address? A: Your membership uses one address for all orders, and you can change it before the next order is created. For an order already in progress, convert it or ask the business.

Q: How do I know when my order ships? A: When the order is fulfilled, the carrier and tracking number appear on the order page, and you may get an email too.
