Kiosk Settings
Customize the kiosk tablet under Settings > Kiosk: the welcome screen wording, the background image and text readability, the thank-you message, and the defaults staff start kiosk mode with.
Kiosk Settings
Settings > Kiosk ("The tablet customers use to sign themselves up.") controls what customers see in kiosk mode and how staff start it. Changing these settings needs the Manage Group Settings permission.
The page shows three sections, Welcome screen, After they join and Defaults, with a preview of the welcome screen. Click Edit to open the Kiosk settings sidebar, make your changes and click Save.
Welcome screen
The first thing a customer sees on the tablet:
- Headline - default "Become a member"
- Subheadline - default "Sign up in a couple of minutes at {your business}."
- Button label - default "Get started"
Fields you leave empty use the default wording, and clearing a field you changed puts the default back.
Background
Upload a background image (Upload image, or Change image) and crop it to fit behind the welcome screen. Text readability is a slider that darkens the image behind the words, so the headline stays readable from across the room over a busy photo.
After they join
Thank-you message - shown under the new member's name once they've signed up. Default: "Check your email for a link to manage your membership." Leave it empty for the default.
Defaults
How kiosk mode is pre-filled when staff start it. They can still change these for a particular shift.
- Offer shipping (on by default) - when off, everyone joining at the kiosk picks up.
- Accept promo codes (off by default) - adds a promo code field to the payment step. Promo codes are never offered for release programs.
- Sign staff out of the device (on by default) - recommended: customers hold this tablet, so leaving someone signed in leaves HQ one tap away.
