Weekly and Every-2-Weeks Programs

Run a program that fulfills every week or every 2 weeks: the shared Monday-to-Sunday week in your time zone, Monday renewals, the earliest day orders are created, the autopilot weekday, plan billing and cancellation deadlines, how weeks are named, and why the schedule is locked once members join.

Weekly and Every-2-Weeks Programs

A club, membership or program with items can fulfill Weekly or Every 2 Weeks, for example a weekly bread box, a coffee delivery every other week, or a weekly produce share. Pick it as the Fulfillment frequency when you create the program, or under Schedule & autopilot before anyone has joined.

The shared week

Everyone shares the same week: Monday to Sunday, starting at midnight in your business's time zone (see Time Zones).

  • Weekly: a new cycle opens every Monday.
  • Every 2 Weeks: a new cycle opens every other Monday, on one rotation for the whole program.

Whether a member joins on a Tuesday or a Friday, they're on the same week as everyone else and receive their items with everyone else.

When members are charged

  • Everyone on the same schedule: every plan renews on Monday, when the week starts (every other Monday for plans billed every 2 weeks). Plans billed by the week have no billing day or billing month to set: the plan says it renews every Monday.
  • Members on their own dates: each member renews on the weekday they joined. Someone who joins on a Thursday is billed every Thursday.

A new member's first charge follows your program's first-charge setting the same way.

When orders are created

Orders are never created before the charge for that week has had time to settle. Plans renew on Monday and MemberZone waits 2 days for the charge to settle, so the earliest orders are created is Wednesday.

With autopilot on, Schedule & autopilot asks "Which day of the week should we create them?" (every 2 weeks: "Which day of each cycle's first week should we create them?"). Pick any day from Monday to Sunday; Wednesday is the default. Monday and Tuesday are marked (runs Wednesday), because orders can't be created before the Monday charge has settled. The schedule then reads, for example, "Every Wednesday", or "on Wednesday of each cycle's first week" every 2 weeks.

For members on their own dates, autopilot instead runs a number of days (0 to 6) after each member's own week starts.

Plans and billing

A plan's billing has to cover a whole number of deliveries, and weeks never divide into months, so:

Program fulfills Plans can bill
Weekly Weekly or Every 2 Weeks
Every 2 Weeks Every 2 Weeks
Monthly or longer Monthly or longer, on a cadence that fits the deliveries

On a plan billed by the week:

  • Cancellation deadline: at most 6 days. The deadline counts back from the next renewal, and the plan renews every Monday, so a week or more would already have passed. Moving a plan onto weekly billing brings a longer deadline down to 6 days.
  • Rewards: a reward that resets Each membership week can't be used on a plan billed weekly (a membership week is the whole membership period there); use each membership period instead. On the shared week, membership-week allowances turn over on Monday with the program's cycles, rather than on each member's joining weekday.

In the member portal and in staff pickers (change plan, add member, switch program), prices show their cadence, for example "$12 per week" or "$22 every 2 weeks".

Changing the schedule

Before anyone joins, you can move between weekly and monthly-or-longer schedules. Weeks and months don't mix, so plans billed on the other side of the line are re-paired with the new cadence: the change names those plans, and afterwards says "Fulfillment frequency updated. Gold now bills weekly, so recheck its price." Check their prices before you publish. A cadence a plan can't follow (for example, a plan with a cancellation deadline over 6 days, or a membership-week reward, when switching to weekly) is disabled with the reason.

Once the program has members, it can't move onto, off or between weekly and every-2-weeks schedules: members keep the schedule they joined on. The switch isn't offered, and the page says "Members keep the schedule they joined on, so a program with members can't switch between a weekly schedule and a monthly or longer one. Create a new program for a different schedule."

How weeks are named

Cycles on a weekly or every-2-weeks program are named by the Monday their week starts, for example Week of Oct 5, 2026:

  • on Fulfillment > Runs, the cycle page and the Orders table,
  • on member pickups and cycle cards, and in the member portal's fulfillment history,
  • at the register, where a pickup reads "Week of Oct 5, 2026 Pickup" (Toast offers and checks, and the member details on Square, Shift4, Lightspeed and Clover).

Pickup notes for weekly programs

Each pickup location can have its own note for weekly and every-2-weeks programs, for example "Fridays from 3 to 6pm". Open the location, and under Pickup, Pickup schedule by frequency, click Edit schedule, switch on Weekly or Every 2 Weeks and write the note. The pickup-ready email for those programs shows it first, then the location's pickup instructions. See Locations.

Setting one up with Zoe

Zoe's program builder can create weekly and every-2-weeks programs too. A program fulfilled weekly or every 2 weeks gets plans billed weekly or every 2 weeks, and one fulfilled monthly or longer gets plans billed monthly or longer.
